Permission for publication: The Israel Police has completed the investigation into the murder of the late Starfish that took place in Eilat during the month of February
On 23.2.22 at night, a report was received at the Israel Police’s Hotline 100 about wounded people being evacuated for medical treatment following stab wounds that occurred in Eilat.
As a result of the stabbings, the late 22-year-old deceased Yam Bukhavot was fatally injured, and later that night the medical staff was forced to determine his death.
The father of the deceased, was seriously injured, and is also seeking medical treatment.
Eilat Regional Police forces among them: Investigators, detectives and investigators from a forensic laboratory arrived at the scene, closed the scene and began collecting findings and carrying out preliminary investigative actions.
The suspect, Ziv Miodik, was arrested on the spot.

In a complex investigation using advanced technological means, the investigators managed to trace him, and about two weeks after the incident, on March 7, 2002, detectives from the “Granite” unit of the Eilat police arrested him in a hiding place in the center of the country.
The suspects’ detention was extended from time to time. These days, after intensive and intensive investigative work, all the evidence in the case has been collected and transferred to the Southern District Attorney’s Office.
