The Israeli army announced on Saturday that it had failed to intercept a missile launched from Yemen towards Tel Aviv.
The Israeli army spokesman said in a brief statement on the “X” platform: “Following the launch of a missile from Yemen and the activation of warnings in central Israel, unsuccessful interception attempts were made to determine the area of its impact.” Details are still under examination.”
Meanwhile, the Times of Israel newspaper, citing doctors, reported that “at least 14 people suffered minor injuries, most of them due to broken glass, as a result of the attack, noting that several other people were injured while fleeing to shelters.”
In turn, the Houthi “Ansar Allah” movement in Yemen announced on Saturday that it had struck “a military target in Tel Aviv with a hypersonic ballistic missile, “Palestine 2.”
Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree confirmed in a statement that the hypersonic missile on Tel Aviv hit its target accurately, as Israel’s interception systems failed to confront it.
He added: “With the specific Jaffa operation, we salute our people who went out to the squares and squares, emphasizing confrontation and challenge to the enemy. We also salute the mujahideen of Gaza and their ongoing heroic operations against the enemy, and we affirm the continuity of our support until the aggression stops and the siege is lifted.”
The “Houthis” explained that their operation on Tel Aviv “comes as a victory for the oppression of the Palestinian people and their mujahideen and within the fifth stage of supporting Palestine.”
Yesterday, Friday, the Yemeni “Ansar Allah-Houthi” group announced that it “carried out two military operations, with a number of drones, against “vital targets” in southern and central Israel, one of them in cooperation with an Iraqi armed group.”
On Thursday, the Yemeni group announced “carrying out 3 military operations on Israeli sites, in conjunction with Israel’s raids on Sanaa and Hodeidah.”
The “Ansar Allah” group announced on October 10, 2023, that it would participate in missile and air attacks and “other military options” in support of the Palestinian factions against the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, if the United States intervenes militarily directly in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the Strip.
In return, Israel launched several raids on targets in Yemen, including ports and energy facilities in areas controlled by the group.
A few days ago, 9 people were killed and others were injured as a result of Israeli raids on power plants in Sanaa and sea ports in Hodeidah.
Since September, the “Ansar Allah” group has controlled the majority of the governorates in central and northern Yemen, including the capital, Sana’a, while on March 26, 2015, an Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia launched military operations in support of the Yemeni army to reclaim those areas from the group’s control.
