Watan Al-Youm – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reminded the Israeli delegation, which withdrew from the Security Council meeting in protest against the meeting schedule that discussed the Palestinian issue, that this schedule was formulated decades ago and there is nothing new about it.
Lavrov added: “The representative of Israel said that he could not take part in an anti-Israel action on such a day, while this action was not hostile to Israel. The meeting was held on the basis of an item included in the agenda of the Security Council, and this agenda was formulated decades ago, and the Palestinian issue is the item included for the longest period, and it has not been resolved by anyone or in any way.
Lavrov confirmed that the Security Council’s agenda had been discussed in advance, and no one objected to discussing Middle East problems on Tuesday, including the Palestinian issue.
