The Japanese company Sharp presented an unusual smartphone, Basio Active 2. The new product received protection under military certificates and the ability to wash it with soap, according to the company’s website, Day.Az reports.

Sharp Basio Active 2 is equipped with a 5.7-inch screen with HD+ resolution. Below the screen there are also three backlit physical buttons that are responsible for opening the phone book, duplicating the Home button and launching messages.

The performance of the new product is driven by the mid-budget Snapdragon 695 chip, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent memory. The smartphone has two cameras – a main one with 50 megapixels and a front one with a resolution of 8 megapixels. There is also a 4000 mAh battery.

Among other features, there is IP68 water and dust protection and MIL-STD-810H certification, thanks to which the smartphone can withstand a drop from a small height, cleaning with soap and water and alcohol wipes.

The Sharp Basio Active 2 smartphone was created specifically for retirees. The device shell is adapted for them with the ability to record conversations when calling from unknown numbers and add numbers to the blacklist. Additionally, small text in some apps has higher contrast for easier reading.
