Nir Orbach, a Knesset member from the right who considered voting for the dissolution of the Knesset and overthrowing the Bennett government, received an offer to be appointed chairman of Mifal Hapayis or the director general of Keren Hayesod if he resigned from the Knesset. This is according to the report tonight (Wednesday) by Lior Keinan in the main edition of News 13.

Bennett, as reported, surprisingly announced on Monday this week, together with Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, that next week he is expected to be appointed prime minister, to dissolve the Knesset and go to the polls. In doing so, Auerbach missed the opportunities that had developed for him.

According to the report tonight, Orbach’s proposals in exchange for retirement came to the table as part of the marathon of talks that have taken place with Bennett recently and Bennett’s attempts to prevent him from dispersing the Knesset.

Orbach, according to the report, rejected the offers and clarified that his move is “value-based” and not intended to accept a position.

Bennett’s entourage responded to the publication, saying that the offers were not made on his behalf directly.
