Watan Today: The Jordanian Center for Design and Development “Goodby” launches the first competition of its kind in the Middle East and Africa region specializing in the field of cybersecurity, “ARMYTHON 2023,” under the auspices of the Vice Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors/General Director, Brigadier General Engineer Ayman Ahmad Al-Batran, where the first edition will be opened. The competition takes place on the 2nd of September and continues for 3 days at the Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center – Dead Sea. This competition comes on the sidelines of the activities of the Artificial Intelligence in Defense Technology and Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition 2023AIDTSEC, which is organized by the Special Operations Equipment Exhibition and Conference Company (Sofex Jordan). .
The competition is organized by Godbee with the aim of raising awareness and exchanging experiences and knowledge among specialists from the participating countries in the fields of cybersecurity and encryption, through live exercises and successive challenges in various fields that measure the level of performance and technical capabilities of the participating teams.
This competition was designed for specialists in cybersecurity from armies and security agencies, and it is characterized by its coverage of more than (7) main areas and more than (120) challenges that were carefully designed and built by Jordanian experts who won awards in international competitions in these areas and under the supervision of the Cyber Shield Academy affiliated with the center. .
The competition is a valuable opportunity for a meeting of experts and specialists to review the latest modern technologies and solutions in the fields of cybersecurity and encryption. Twelve teams from 10 Arab and African countries will participate in the competition under the supervision of a jury comprising international and local experts, which confirms the importance and impartiality of the competition and its response to the operational need to address contemporary cyber threats. .
It is noteworthy that the AIDTSEC 2023 conference and exhibition is an important platform for a meeting of experts, during which the latest modern technologies and solutions in the fields of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence are presented, which is organized by the Special Operations Equipment Exhibition and Conference Company (SOFEX Jordan).
