“The ESIEA Board of Directors is deeply saddened to announce the loss of its colleague Charalambos (Babi) Agrolambos, who died suddenly this morning.
Babis Agrolampos was born in 1965, in Didymoeicho, Evros, and studied at the Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of Political Science and Public Administration.
He started his journalistic career in 1989 in the newspaper “Proti“, which covers independent reporting. Then, he worked at the radio station “902”, at the newspapers “Anagnotis”, “Tetarti Exousia”, “Ependytis” and at the magazine “Eptamisy”. From 1992, he started working at the radio station “Flash 96.1”, first as a reporter and then as editor-in-chief. From time to time, he collaborated on programs of the TV stations “SKAI” and “MEGA”. He stayed at “Eleftherotypia” from 2008 until the end of the newspaper, and from 2013 he worked at “Newspaper of the Editors”.
Babis Agrolampos made himself known for his professional consistency, hard work and seriousness which he showed in all the reports he was involved with. A man with dignity, moderate, gentle, with integrity of character, he worked hard conscientiously. Throughout his professional career he stood in solidarity with colleagues and participated in social and trade union struggles. From November 2008 to May 2010, he was a member of the Board of Directors. of ESIEA and offered valuable services with his decisive interventions.
