The journalist from Villa Clara dies Liuva Sarduy González

The prominent journalist from CMES Radio Sagua, Liuva Sarduy González, died in the afternoon of this Sunday, September 3, at the age of 45, after suffering from chronic renal failure, which led her to two cardio-respiratory arrests, causing the death.

During his career at radio sagüera, he made a career effectively serving prioritized sectors such as public health, sports, culture and education, among others, which were imbued with his particular stamp, together with a careful attention that was always recognized.

Taking advantage of the potential of radio, she also maintained a constant concern for her improvement, not only in journalism in which she was a virtuoso, but also managed to qualify as a broadcaster and program director.

Particular interest was placed in the leadership of the specialized section “Among Colleagues”, which he carried out indistinctly together with several of his colleagues from the Information Department and at the time of his death he held the Presidency of the Base Delegation of the Union of Cuban Journalists on Radio Sagua.

Sarduy González was treated at the Hospital Mártires del 9 de Abril until the last minutes of her life. Her body is on display at the Sagua la Grande municipal funeral home and the burial is set for 8:30 ante meridian this Monday, September 4.
