Today’s protest in Education is the fourth and receives the support of CCC OO and the Alfredo Cazabán school, which also demands another three-year unit
The Association of Fathers and Mothers New Times, from college Juan Pasquau de Úbeda, is concentrated for the fourth time with the support of CC OO to request a second line in the first year of Infant. The protest, planned in the Delegation of Educational Development and Vocational Training from 10:00 am, has the support of ‘Alfredo Cazabán’, who shares the demand.
Carmen Maria Garcia, a member of ‘Nuevos Tiempos’, explains to this newspaper that there are now 33 applications, so that there is enough offer to double the three-year line. “The minimum is 14 in each unit. We exceeded it and that’s why we asked for a second line. And it doesn’t mean more investment, because we have enough resources,” he argues.
García recalls that the situation is not new and that the center was left without that second line last year, due to a lack of places. Now, he maintains, the situation is different and he expects “the commitment” of the Delegation of Education. “The consequence of not having another line is that next year the center will not be the first choice for parents, because they don’t know if they will have a place,” he points out.

javier luque, General Secretary of Teaching of CC OO, explains that the story is very similar in ‘Alfredo Cazabán’. “Now they only have one Children’s line and they are asking for another to be restored given the increase in requests,” he says.
CC OO has been supporting the demand of the fathers and mothers of Úbeda for a month, who have already gathered twice in the Heritage city and as many times in the capital. “We will continue until they give us a satisfactory answer,” concludes García.
