Dutch sprinter Olav Kooij raised his arms on the final stage of the Chinese event, won by his compatriot and teammate at Jumbo-Visma.
The Jumbo-Visma ends its season with a 69th success. This Tuesday, the 4th edition of the Tour of Guangxi returned to the dominant team in the world peloton. At the end of a massive sprint, the Dutch sprinter Olav Kooij won during the 6th and final stage of the Chinese event – his 13th victory of the season -, ahead of the Colombian Juan Sebastian Molano (UAE Emirates) and the Englishman Ethan Hayter (Ineos Grenadiers).
His compatriot and teammate with the “Wasps”, Milan Vader, winner of the 4th stage, wins the general classification. The Frenchman from Cofidis Rémy Rochas finished in second place, beaten by 6 seconds.
Jumbo-Visma therefore completes its historic season with 69 victories, ahead of the UAE Team Emirates of Tadej Pogacar (57) and the Soudal-Quick Step of Remco Evenepoel (55).
