The jury acquitted the former head of the Ramensky district of the Moscow region, Andrei Kulakov, who was accused of the murder of the deputy head of the Public Chamber of the district, Yevgenia Isaenkova. This is reported by TASS with reference to Kulakov’s lawyer Artem Sarabashev.

He explained to the agency that the jury faced four questions: was the murder of Isaenkova, if so, whether Kulakov committed it, and whether Kulakov was guilty of committing a crime, and if he was guilty, then whether he deserves leniency. The jury answered the first question in the affirmative, and to the next two – in the negative, respectively, the question of leniency was dropped.

“On November 15, the Podolsk City Court will discuss the consequences of the verdict and an acquittal will be passed,” the lawyer added.

Kulakov was detained on May 31, 2019.According to the agency, the woman’s body was found on May 2 in her car, an examination showed that she was killed. A TASS source in law enforcement suggested that the cause of the murder was a personal conflict. According to him, Isaenkova was strangled. Against this background, Kulakov prematurely left the post of head of the Ramensky district, the press service of the main department of territorial policy of the Moscow region reported. Kulakov pleaded not guilty. He stated that at the time of the murder he was at home with his family.

The official portal of the Ramensky district said that Kulakov was born in the Moscow region, an engineer by training. Over the years, he worked as a controller at a poultry farm, an engineer at the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after V.I. NE Zhukovsky, deputy head of the administration of the Vyalkovsky rural district of the Ramensky district, was the head of the administration of the village of Udelnaya.
