The film The Kashmir Files was released in theaters across India in March 2022. The film is based on a true incident in Kashmir in the 1990s. The film was also given tax exemption in some states of India. The film was also a hit at the box office. It seems that the film has collected a total of 340 crore rupees.
In this case, director Vivek Agnihotri has shared on his Twitter page that this film has been shortlisted for the Oscars.
“The Kashmir Files is one of the 5 Indian films shortlisted for Best Film. I greet everyone at this time. It has been a great year for Indian cinema. Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar and Anupam Kher are also nominated for Best Actor. This is just the beginning. We still have a long way to go. Bless everyone,” he said.
