Last April the attacker, James Howard Jackson, was released from prison before being tried, after a mistake by the system and was arrested again the same month after the mistake was realized. Now, at the end of the legal proceedings, in which the victim Fischer was present who stated that the incident changed his life completely, the attacker received no less than 21 years in prison.

As you may remember, in the context of the case, Jackson shot Fisher in the chest and kidnapped her three dogs, which were later returned to Gaga unharmed after she offered a bond in the amount of 500,000 dollars. At first the police assumed that the kidnapping occurred because of the value of the dogs and only later it became clear that the main part of the kidnapping was as a result of the owners of the dogs.
