From Jerusalem comes the sad news of the passing away after an illness of the late Rabbi Aharon Rubinfeld, owner of the ‘Shuba’ bakery chain and a student of Rabbi Asher Friend, who was 60 years old at the time of his death. Last Rosh Hashanah he was still in Miron as was his custom every year

Baruch Dayan the truth: From the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem comes the news of the passing of the man of kindness and action Rabbi Hassid R. Aharon Halevi Rubinfeld ztzel of Jerusalem, the owner of the famous ‘Shuba’ bakery and he was 60 years old at the time of his death.

‘Bachderi Haredim’ learned that last Rosh Hashanah he was still in Miron as is his custom every year, and on the way back he did not feel well and went to the hospital where he fought for his life after he lost consciousness, and unfortunately today he passed away.

The deceased was born in Zurich, Switzerland to his father, the Rabbi Rabbi Menachem Yehoshua Rubinfeld, one of the leaders of the community in Zurich, Switzerland. By his choice, he studied at the Yeshiva in Lucerne under the head of the yeshiva, Rabbi Yitzchak David Kopelman ztzel, and after his marriage with his wife of the Schindler family, they lived in Jerusalem.

Together with his brother Rabbi Yeshaya, he founded the chain of ‘Shuba’ bakeries, which are famous throughout the country. Over the years, Rabbi Asher Freind became close to the community of Rabbi Asher Freind, and he was one of the veteran students of Rabbi Asher Freind, the late Rabbi Aharon Ezer, who helped his Rabbi in all his endeavors with ‘Yid Ezera’ and by helping others.

He was a humble man of kindness, who walked modestly and on the side of the road all his life. He distributed cakes, challah and buns to thousands of needy families without anyone knowing about it.

In the same way he was connected to the Rabbi in Miron, he would distribute food and rolls every year at Yad Ezera and the Rabbi’s tent without anyone knowing who was behind it.

He won and left behind him a blessed generation of righteous people, 15 children in Lahar, two of whom have not yet won the record.

The funeral procession tonight at 20:30 from 5 Don Yosef Hanasi St. in the Makor Baruch neighborhood (the home of Rabbi Asher Friend zt’l) to the Mount of Repose there Yeatman.

May his soul be bundled in the bundle of life.
