Homeland Today – Amman – Secretary-General of the Justice and Reform Party, Ghazi Alyan, said that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, is making an exceptional effort to stop the war on Gaza, stop the bloodshed there, and condemn the brutal Israeli aggression on the Strip.
Alyan stressed in a press statement that His Majesty the King, as usual, was the first to take the initiative to find an international position rejecting the brutal Israeli practices against the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and affirming that there is no peace without the Palestinian people obtaining their legitimate rights to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He said that the royal effort stems from His Majesty’s awareness of the seriousness of the war on the Gaza Strip, the disastrous effects of which will affect the countries of the region, and the importance of standing firmly against the policy of displacement and collective punishment pursued by Israel in its barbaric aggression against the Strip.
Alyan stated that His Majesty, through his standing in the international community, will not hesitate to mobilize international positions in support of the Palestinian issue, and the inevitability of the development and expansion of the conflict in the region in light of the blockage of the political horizon and the absence of a peaceful solution and sitting at the negotiating table.
He referred to His Majesty the King’s directives for the Jordanian Field Hospital to continue providing its services to the brothers in Gaza, and to allocate an amount of 3 million dinars to support UNRWA, and to send relief and medical aid to those besieged in Gaza, stressing that these positions reflect the established and historical Jordanian position in standing by the Palestinian brothers and their just cause.
Alian stressed that Israel exceeded all standards of humanity in its attack on the Gaza Strip, targeting everything, especially civilian citizens, hospitals, and international relief institutions. Israel also prevents the necessities of life from reaching the Palestinian people in an inhumane practice. Alian explained that the position of the Jordanian people is clear in and stands behind His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, may God protect him, in stopping the aggression against Gaza, preventing the siege and displacement, bringing in humanitarian aid, and returning to the political track.
