Watan Al-Youm: His Majesty King Abdullah II stressed during a phone call with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz the necessity of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the protection of civilians.
During the call on Monday, His Majesty the King called on the international community to intensify humanitarian and relief aid and ensure its delivery to the Gaza Strip.
His Majesty renewed Jordan’s categorical rejection of attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians and attempts to separate Gaza and the West Bank.
His Majesty the King stressed that the continued acts of violence carried out by extremist settlers against the Palestinians in the West Bank will fuel the conflict.
His Majesty stressed the importance of finding a political horizon for the Palestinian issue, stressing that the two-state solution is the basis for peace in the region and part of its regional security.
