Gajraj Singh of Jaipur is making a unique effort called Bezubaan Ki Rasoi.
Do you also buy a packet of biscuits worth Rs 5 every day and go to feed the dogs? If yes, then this story will probably make you think. A few years ago, Gajraj Singh of Jaipur saw a person buying a packet of biscuits from a tea shop early in the morning and feeding it to the dog standing nearby. As soon as the person was about to leave, Gajraj stopped him and said that these biscuits contain flour and sugar. Nothing else happens. This would definitely satisfy the hunger of these voiceless people but they would not be able to provide nutrition.
So the unknown person replied that this is the only thing I can buy by spending 5 rupees. This forced Gajraj, who had a special fondness for animals, to think. Gajraj runs a restaurant in Jaipur city, from where he used to save some food every day or go to waste.
Instead of throwing the food waste in the garbage, Gajraj decided to put it to good use. He started making small packets of 400 grams by mixing things like egg, cheese, soya with leftover rice or roti. And this is how the ‘Kitchen of the Voiceless’ began.
Gajraj also started a stall in the city named Bezubaan Ki Rasoi to sell these packets. From where people can buy food packets instead of biscuits for just Rs 5. Speaking to The Better India, he said that there are many people like him who regularly come to collect food from him to feed the dogs. The best thing about which is that it is a fresh nutritious food.
In this way, today food from the Kitchen of the Voiceless is reaching 3000 destitute dogs of the city, that too by spending only Rs 5.
True, if this idea of Gajraj is adopted in every city and restaurant of the country, how many hungry animals will be helped.
