The Kunduz case

by time news

The morning after, police officers found two burned-out tank trucks and some animal carcasses at the scene of the accident in the Kunduz river bed. They did not discover a human corpse, instead “only minimal traces of human material”. Even after a two-day search for clues, which took place on September 4th and 5th, 2009, they can no longer reconstruct “which and how many people were at the scene of the incident (…). It will also remain open whether and, if so, which and by whom changes were made to the location of the evidence at the site of the incident ”.

It is very likely that relatives and friends rescued the victims, not least in order to be able to bury the dead according to Islamic belief. Accordingly, the deceased must be buried within 24 hours.
