Kuwait City: The government under Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Assabah resigned after the 17th National Assembly results were released.

A senior official stated that the resignation was submitted by Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jabir Assabah after the cabinet meeting held on Saturday. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Minister for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Muhammad Al Faraz informed. He also stated that the cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al Ahmad Assabah would have discussed the matters and taken a decision to submit his resignation to the Amir.
