The Astronomical Society in Jeddah said that the moon will reach the last quarter of the month of Shawwal today, Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 09:43 PM Mecca time (06:43 PM GMT).

The association added that the moon will complete three-quarters of its orbit around the Earth this month, after which it will rise after midnight and will remain visible in the sky until sunset on Monday afternoon, according to local time.

The association had announced yesterday that it will monitor the sky of Saudi Arabia and the Arab world during the hours before sunrise on the morning of Sunday, May 22, 2022, the conjunction of the waning humpback moon with the planet Saturn, where they will be separated by about 4 degrees on the southeast horizon in front of the constellation Capricorn on the dome of the sky.
