The late Congress leader and party members were waiting in the sun

Pollachi: The party’s state president Alagiri arrived late for the opening ceremony of the Congress office in Pollachi, so the volunteers waited in the sun for several hours.

Congress office opening ceremony was held yesterday at Pollachi Venkataramanan Road, Coimbatore. Congress, state leader Alagiri participated. For his visit, the party completely occupied the road, spread red carpet and tied party flags. Due to this, the traffic on the road was blocked and the police arranged for the vehicles to be diverted.

Alagiri arrived one and a half hours late for the program which was supposed to start at 10:00 AM. Due to the hot sun, women and children wandered in search of shade and waited with sarees covering their heads as they could not bear the heat. The elderly volunteers struggled to stand in the sun.
