Jeddah: The law, which makes four more jobs exclusively for Saudi nationals, will come into force on Sunday. The jobs of office secretary, translator, store keeper and data entry are fully localized.

The decision was made last October by Saudi Minister of Human Resources NG. Issued by Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajihi. With this, the posts of secretary, translator, store keeper and data entry will be 100 per cent for locals only. This is part of the Ministry’s action plan to provide more employment opportunities to Indigenous youth in the private sector and increase their participation in the labor market. It will create 20,000 jobs for the natives.

The minimum wage for translator and store keeper was set at 5,000 riyals. The ministry had also announced the decision to localize 30 per cent of the marketing jobs in the company, which has more than five employees in the marketing department. This decision will also take effect from Sunday. It aims to create 12,000 jobs. The minimum wage for those engaged in marketing work has been fixed at 5,500 riyals.
