Odilon Larios Nava. – The innocent who was lynched and his body burned by inhabitants of Papatlazolco, in Huauchinango, was Daniel Picazo González, a lawyer with a great future, who was currently working as an advisor in the LXIV Legislature in the H. Congress of the Union.

It was last Friday night when a cocktail based on ignorance, violence, paranoia and lack of security in Huauchinango triggered a fatality. An innocent man paid with his life for the thirst for blood and justice by the inhabitants of Huauchinango.

Daniel Picazo, a young lawyer, with studies abroad, who also liked to travel the world, last Friday went to his native Huauchinango, where he liked to go on vacation and rest.

Daniel greeted several of his friends for the day and for some reason he arrived in the town of Papatlazolco, where a group of people accused him of loitering and of being a supposed child stealer. Without any proof, except the distrust of the people, he was captured and beaten.

The authorities were alerted, but the municipality of Huauchinango, headed by Rogelio López Angulo, was unable to deploy the lynching protocols. People beat up Daniel and then set him and his truck on fire. When the authorities entered the town, the barbaric act was complete.

The investigations of this tumultuous murder are being carried out by the authorities of the State Attorney General’s Office.

On social networks, Madeline, Daniel’s sister, demanded justice and wrote the following message: “I chose my favorite photo to say goodbye to you, finding out how they took your life causes me the greatest revulsion towards people who unfairly do it.” He did it without knowing that you were a professional, incapable of harming anyone, a lover of travel and life, with a bright future, fly very high my Dany, I trust that God will do justice to all those people who cut your wings … just by being at the wrong time and place.

You enjoyed your short life as you liked best, rest in peace…

I pray to God for his rest and for the good of his family.”
