A lawyer from the Universidad Mayor has started a lawsuit against the Catholic University after he received a master’s degree in Economic Analysis at that university, which, he insists, includes an email with the field @uc.cl forever.
“The great inspiration I have is to be able to have an email with the site @uc.cl, because of the national and international prestige of the Catholic University, to be able to use it in a personal, business and way professional, because I think that by offering my services and working with e-mail with the site @uc.cl gives more honor, process and confidence to my clients and potential clients,” he said in a security appeal presented to the court.
In the legal action that explains that after four years of using the mentioned email, the university changed to @educacioncontinua.uc.cl.
“This has caused me great economic losses and great disturbance to my mental and mental stability, but above all I have not been able to do my business, work and professional work,” the plaintiff said in the letter.
The Court of Appeals of Santiago said that the defense appeal was not accepted on August 13.
