“Wassem Hazem, the leader of Hamas in Jenin, was eliminated in the course of the anti-terrorist operation in northern Samaria. He was identified together with a terrorist cell that was in a car,” Israel’s internal intelligence service “Shin Bet” announced on the “X” platform.

“Hazem was involved in the implementation and management of shootings and bombings, and continuously facilitated terrorist activities in the Judea and Samaria region,” the statement said.

Two other members of “Hamas” were also in the car, the statement said.

Israeli forces killed them in an aerial attack as the Palestinians fled in a car.

Bombs and weapons were reportedly found in the car.

According to eyewitnesses, the Israeli army attacked a car carrying three people in a village south of Jenin.

Two tried to escape. The drone is believed to have fired a missile at the two. All three were reportedly killed in the attack.
