On her part, congratulating the head of the EC, Speaker of the Seimas Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen noted that continuity is the most important thing for the Community at the moment.
“Congratulations to Ursula von der Leyen on winning a second term as President of the European Commission. The continuity of the European Union is essential in order to overcome European challenges and strengthen the unity of the Community,” the Speaker of the Seimas wrote on the “X” platform.
Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė also congratulated the President of the EC, who was approved for the second term.
