Consumer demand in almost all Russian regions in the first half of 2021 demonstrates steady growth. In January-July this year, it grew by an average of 12% compared to the same period in 2020. This is evidenced by a study by RIA Novosti.

It is noted that in order to assess the situation in this area, experts calculated the dynamics of consumer demand in Russian regions, and then based on these data they made a rating of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The study assessed retail trade turnover, the volume of paid services provided by the population, and the costs of cafes and restaurants.

The first place was taken by the Krasnodar Territory, where in the first seven months of 2021 demand grew by 22%. This is followed by Adygea (+ 21.9%), Kabardino-Balkaria (+ 20.8%), North Ossetia (+ 20.7%) and St. Petersburg (+ 19.5%). The top ten also includes the Bryansk Region, Primorsky Territory, Moscow Region, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Moscow. Tomsk Oblast, Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Murmansk Oblast are at the bottom of the rating.

Earlier it became known that most Russians consider a salary of 50-70 thousand rubles to be optimal for a comfortable life. Almost 39% of the respondents answered this way. But every fourth named the amount in the amount of 80-100 thousand rubles. 17% of Russians dream of a salary of 120-150 thousand, another 11% want to receive more than 150 thousand a month, and 9% said that they need at least 200 thousand rubles a month to be completely happy.

It was also reported that in the first half of the year, the largest Russian banks issued 1.5-2 times more cash loans to customers than in the same period of 2020. According to analysts, the trend will continue and intensify ahead of the New Year holidays.
