The Romanian school is a school completely back in the past
“In Romania there is a degradation of the level of learning, of the Pisa index, of the IQ and it is visible in the degradation of the educational system, of the learning system. What do we have today? We have a school dedicated to school authorities, teachers and those who feed with the corn and the milk (…) sly boys, linked to various local political structures, to make a penny from the budget. This is school. The Romanian school is a school that has completely returned to the past in terms of mentality, under the control of the authorities, the Ministry of Education, the teaching staff, the teachers’ unions. More recently, the church is also coming. (…) That is, now they no longer have to pass 14 maths, 15 biochemistry, including agronomy, types of physics, which are applicable and necessary, now we have to pass Religion. Which religion? Well, we don’t know”, said Adrian Sârbu, on Wednesday, at ŞTIU, at Aleph News.
Children are a discriminated category in this country
“If the education law took care of the child, it would say this: sir, every child in Romania has 1200 dollars allocated. Does anyone want to bring this figure to Parliament? When Finland has 18 thousand dollars, so about fifteen times as much as Romania, let’s copy Finland, my brothers. Simple. (…) This money must be allocated to the child and the parent who, anyway, as we showed, invests much more than 1200 dollars for his child, every year, decides where the child goes to learn. And then we end up with the most serious phenomenon that exists today, which we don’t want to see, namely the terrorizing of children in school. Children are a discriminated category in this country. Why? They have to do what their grandmother or teacher tells them, they have to obey a program and an educational model that belongs to the past. So, education in Romania is backwards. It is an education facing the past, not facing the future. Serious”, explained Adrian Sârbu.
We need an instituted learning process for the entire nation
“We stand out as elites in mathematics, we have three or four citizens who are models for us. In general, they are recognized outside and not in Romania, but we need an instituted learning process for the entire nation, and when I say the entire nation, I mean children until they finish high school and adults until they die. That’s what we need (…), we don’t get to sit for hours in Parliament, paid people, to discuss how to take the child’s cell phone. Well, this mobile, my brothers, is today’s school. I say this today: education, i.e. the learning system in Romania, will not get where it needs to be without a revolution (…) Romania has evolved through revolutions”, underlined Adrian Sârbu.
We don’t need schools anymore
“We don’t need schools anymore. During the pandemic, it was shown that we no longer need office spaces, we can work from anywhere. Therefore, we can learn from anywhere and Nemo wonders which teacher his child should have. The best teacher in the world (…). If I am the best teacher for my child, maybe I will announce myself in the teacher’s exchange and maybe, if I do lessons with my child, I, Nemo, will set an example and they will sign up from me in the block, from the commune, from you from the commune and maybe from the commune of New York. Obviously, everything you say in Romanian will be automatically translated, that’s why there is artificial intelligence in several languages, and the teachers will be the ones the parents choose”, says Adrian Sârbu.
No one protects the children, not even the parents
“Teachers in Romania are the children’s terrorists. You keep hearing: sir, this child jumped on this teacher’s neck. As long as the Romanian teacher is not concerned with the child’s development and is concerned with stuffing into his head and soul what she or he (the teacher) believes, including her or his frustrations from that day, the child is terrorized. And do you know why he is terrorized? (…) Children don’t have a union, children don’t have a party, nobody defends the children and, much worse, not even the parents. “Come on, I’ve done it, take it, keep it for me from 8 to 5, if possible, bring it to me at 8 in the evening ready to go to bed by itself because I have work.” This is the parent of today, that he is generation x, y, z or whatever you want. The very serious problem is that we do not look at these children – now we see them functionally illiterate, 42% functionally illiterate – and much more serious is that we do not understand that they are educated naturally, according to this nonlinear model of this phone, from the content of this phone, including chatGPT cousin and other AI cousins. And we in school force him to learn some things he doesn’t want. Can he object? Not. And then what develops? ADHD, mental illnesses and, very seriously, a hatred of learning”, said Adrian Sârbu.
