The level of herd immunity in Moscow fell by 1.6 p.p. over the week. and amounted to 63.2%, follows from the data of the operational headquarters.

Last week, the figure, which includes those who recovered from COVID-19 less than six months ago, vaccinated and revaccinated, reached 64.8%.

More than 7.14 million times were vaccinated with the first component in Moscow, more than 6.75 million times the full course.

Chechnya (by 3 p.p.), Moscow region (by 2.9 p.p.), Nenets Autonomous Okrug (by 2.8 p.p.), Belgorod region (by 1.7 p.p.), Sevastopol and Ivanovo region (by 1.6 p.p. each).

Rospotrebnadzor said that it is necessary for herd immunity to reach 80%. Then COVID-19 will become a seasonal disease, said the deputy director for scientific work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of the department, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Gorelov.
