The US Embassy in Libya announced that the Libyan Robotics Team won the World Championship during its participation in the competitions held in the US state of Houston.
In a post on the “formerly X-Twitter” platform, the embassy praised “the effort made by the members of the Libyan team, which well deserved to win the tournament.”
The Charge d’Affairs of the US Embassy to Libya, Jeremy Brent, welcomed “a number of young Libyans who are preparing to go to the United States of America to participate in the World Robotics Championship competitions.”
During his meeting with the team, Brent said: “It was a pleasure to meet this wonderful group of students from the Libyan National Robotics Team who will travel to Houston, Texas to compete in the World Robotics Championship with the support of the Libyan Academy for Communications and Informatics.”
“In his meeting with the Libyan team, Brent stressed the American Embassy’s support for them,” and said: “I am sure that these talented Libyan young men will play an important role in building the future of Libya.”
Brent expressed, “The pride and pride of the United States of America in cooperation and partnership with Libyan youth in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education.”
