The Liceo puts the hockey final on track against Reus

by time news

The Sports Lyceum left on track final from OK League with his second win against Reus Deportiu (5-2), who came to compromise the A Coruña but could not score any victory in Galician lands. Now the final, the best of five games, travels to Reus with this 2-0 against the Catalans.

The people from Coruña faced the match with the same starting lineup that they presented on Friday in the first match of the best-of-five series (5-1), while Jordi García opted for two changes, that of Ballard for Zapater under the sticks and that of Ferran Giménez for Francesco Compagno, goes down in the ranks of Reus.

The Liceo took just over two minutes to score the first goal with a transition that culminated in Roberto di Benedetto hitting a cross.

Adroher had two options to extend the high school rent in those initial minutes, but in both cases he found Ballart’s stops.

momentary advantage

Reus responded with a great action from Chilean Diego Rojas, who dodged three rivals and assisted Sergi Aragonés to tie the match.

Salvat had the second for Reus with a shot to the post in a play in which the referees awarded a penalty because Carles Grau touched the ball with his boot. Raúl Marín took advantage of it to put the Catalan team ahead after twelve minutes.

The Lyceum recovered. He warned with a powerful shot from Álex Rodríguez that he took out with the Ballart helmet. The goalkeeper could not repeat shortly after against the same player in a three for two of Juan Copa’s men.

Tempers heated up with a brawl started by Sergi Aragonés and Álex Rodríguez and joined by the rest. The two who lit the fuse saw the blue card and the break came with a draw although Julià, through a pass from Rojas, was able to score for Reus (he met a save from Grau) and the post repelled a ball from Di Benedetto.

Back on track, the Argentine Maxi Oruste was inspired and he only cooked a counter that ended successfully to complete the comeback of the Verdiblancos.

Ballart frustrated Álex Rodríguez’s brace after a two-on-one by the Galicians in the 37th minute, but he couldn’t prevent it from coming in the 40th minute in a rare play in which Di Benedetto’s insistence paid off.

The Liceo knew how to close the game with possession and took advantage of the tenth foul to sentence with the execution of Jordi Adroher and reach Catalan lands with two victories in a best-of-five series.
