Through a video posted on the official social network site of the Ecuadorian Football Federation, it was learned that the VAR tool will be used for the entire second stage of the LigaPro Serie A, and the technology will also be present in the Ecuadorian Women’s Super League.
“Thanks to the commitment to the development of Ecuadorian soccer, VAR, in the highest category tournaments for women and men, is already a reality. After an exhaustive bid evaluation process, we have awarded who will provide the service and technology for the video arbitration assistance system for the Ecuadorian Football Federation. This year more than 120 matches will be played with this technology, including the matches of the second phase of the LigaPro Serie A”, stated Francisco Egas, president of the FEF.
“Fairer competition, more transparent matches, they are a real party for the fans and one more boost for national football. The implementation of the VAR definitely ratifies the commitment of the FEF (Ecuadorian Football Federation) and of us as LigaPro to continue working for the sport and for the development of football.
