A case has been registered against 12 persons in Gujarat in connection with the illegal lion show in which a cow was sacrificed to a cow. Many people came to see the display of a lion biting a cow tied to a pole. The controversial demonstration took place in the first week of November in Junagadh in the Gir forest region. The incident came to light after the footage of the show was captured by the viewers and spread through social media.

The animal show was part of the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary, which is famous for its lions, and the Devaliya area, also known as Sasan Gir. The case has been registered against 12 persons on the basis of the leaked footage. Three of them have already been arrested. The cow was tied to a pole to attract the lion during an illegal animal show.

The spectators watched from a distance as the lion attacked the cow, which was tied to a pole. This is also evident in the widely circulated footage. Junagadh Deputy Conservator of Forests SK Berwal said such exhibitions were not allowed. Many people who came to the show filmed the lion biting the cow on his mobile phone. The forest department explained that the exhibition held on November 8 was a lion show.

Officials say they are checking to see if the show is designed for outsiders. The main culprit who prepared the show has not yet been caught. The case has been registered under various sections of the Wildlife Conservation Act. Earlier this year, a Gir Somnath court sentenced six people to three years in prison for organizing a similar exhibition. The lion was attracted by tying the chicken.
