Its adaptation in real images was therefore eagerly awaited: here it is finally coming out this Wednesday. If it suffers from oddities compared to the original tale and from a rather failed graphic design for the underwater scenes, this new adaptation reveals actor-singers with exceptional voices, in particular the young Halle Bailey who embodies the title role. But if the film has been talking so much for months, it’s also because this actress chosen to play Ariel is African-American.
