Through a press release, the LNR condemned this Friday the power cut that occurred Thursday evening during the Agen-Nevers match in Pro D2.

Thursday evening on the occasion of the 29th day of Pro D2, Agen received Nevers. A power cut suddenly took place for almost 30 minutes at the start of the second period. Claimed on social networks a few moments later, the gesture is the work of the CGT: « the CGT Energies 47 demands the putting in energy sobriety of the Armandie Stadium”.

The National Rugby League (LNR) wanted this Friday to condemn this act which clearly disrupted the meeting since the players had to return to the locker room during the interruption period. The League denounced an initiative which « endangered the safety of the 8 700 spectators present in the stadium and players in the match, plunging them into darkness for long minutes, with all the consequences that this could have had ».

« Moreover, this situation seriously disrupted this match with high sporting stakes, and could have gone so far as to lead to the obligation to replay it, one day before the end of the regular season of Pro D2, and thus impact the whole of the end of the competition »continues the body which specifies « reserve the right to appeal to the competent courts ” reminded the NRL on Friday.
