An unusual exhibition has opened at the London Art Gallery. Its visitors can not only admire masterpieces of painting, but also literally immerse themselves in them and become their heroes. The fact is that paintings come to life thanks to modern technology. As the creators assure, the exhibition will allow you to experience a unique experience of immersion in digital art and “go on a dizzying journey.”
As Day.Az reports, the paintings presented at the exhibition have no frames, both literally and figuratively. The image is projected onto the walls, floor and ceiling of the room, creating an immersive effect for visitors. The plot of the paintings is brought to life with the help of AI. At some point the image is static, but then everything changes. For example, in a painting with a ship sailing on a wild ocean, lightning suddenly flashes, thunder rumbles, the waves begin to move – and now the audience is already in the middle of the raging waves, along with the boat rushing over them.
In addition to the visual component, music is also important. In addition to sound effects, each film has its own composition, which is a compilation of classical and modern works. You can immerse yourself in the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, Giuseppe Arcimboldo, Gustav Klimt, Salvador Dali.
The creators of the exhibition note that over the centuries, artists have reflected the complexity of our world with the help of paint.
“They filled their canvases with amazing landscapes, alternate realities, beautiful colors and extreme purity, seeking to express the very essence of humanity,” art historians emphasize. “Today, technology allows us to get closer to these masterpieces than ever before. Go beyond the boundaries and immerse yourself in the amazing worlds, travel through time and space to experience every stroke with all your senses.”
