The place is at Gertler’s

Last week, a first and limited event was held on behalf of the project “The Place”, which will be established in Tel Aviv during the next few years, with the aim of being a beacon and a ray of light for pluralistic Judaism. The project ‘The Place’ aims to create a new cultural space that will deal with the ideas of the great Jews and the Jewish story, and will offer exhibition spaces, cultural spaces and creative spaces, nationalists from Israel and the world. In the place, works of art will be integrated in the gardens, in the building and in the exhibitions themselves. This project is in fact the first pulse in the field of contemporary art that will be presented in 2024 as part of the outline on the way to the place. The liquid desert project is an original creation by the artist that combines dimensions of sculpture, drawing, videos and unique sound works. The work deals with mapping the space of the collective subconscious of all of us. The physical landmark where the first part of the project is located is located at Ma’ale Avraham in the Negev Desert. Among those present: Mayor of Tel Aviv-Jaffa Ron Huldai who spoke, Eyal Waldman, Shelly Hod-Moyal, Yoram Cohen, British Jewish historian Sir Simon Shama, Ilan Pivko, Alan Hoffman, Baron Jean de Ginzburg, and more.
