Six departments on orange alert for violent winds, Calvados and Eure in yellow

In a bulletin updated at 3 p.m., Météo-France has released the departments of Calvados and Eure from orange vigilance for violent winds. The North, Pas-de-Calais, Somme, Oise, Seine-Maritime and Manche are still on orange alert for the winds, which “gradually diminishing from the west” of the country, according to Météo-France. “The lull is gradually taking shape, reaching Normandy around midday, and finally Hauts-de-France in the evening. »

Furthermore, the Alpes-Maritimes are in turn placed on orange alert for wave-submersion, alongside the departments of Var, Bouches-du-Rhône, Landes, Calvados, Seine-Maritime, Pas-de -Calais, the Somme and Corsica-du-Sud. Yellow vigilance is now required in Côtes-d’Armor, Ille-et-Vilaine and Manche.

Storm “comes up from the east of England towards the North Sea”, reports Météo-France, specifying that the strongest winds were located in the Eastern Channel. In the departments placed on orange alert, winds between 100 and 120 km/hour, or even more on the coast, are observed.
