There is a lot of anticipation on the period drama that also stars Eve Hewson, the actress (and daughter of Bono Vox) of the series directed by Steven Soderbergh “The Knick”

From a co-production between Great Britain and New Zealand comes “The Luminaries – Destiny in the Stars”, a costume miniseries set during the frantic gold hunt at the end of the 19th century. The show is based on the 2013 novel of the same name written by New Zealander Eleanor Catton, who is also a screenwriter for the television adaptation of the book. The director is instead Claire McCarthy, already at ease with the historical reconstruction after having reworked William Shakespeare’s Hamlet in “Ophelia” in the cinema. “I Luminari” will be released on July 7 on Sky Serie, also visible on NowTv.
