He added, “All the way we ran away I was with the General Correction, and we ran ten minutes down the street. There were a lot of people from all directions.” He added, “We shouted the names of the righteous along the way – for which Rabbi Nachman said it could change nature.”
He said, after shouting “The Names of the Righteous,” “there was a very frightening passage that we were running and we were looking at them from behind – and we see that they are running and we see that they are running slowly.”
According to him, the reason for this is not because of their running speed, but a miracle that the Arabs ran at a slow pace – and thus did not achieve them. “We did not run crazy because I was waiting for a friend. I do not know how to explain it and they ran slowly.”
He described another miracle that happened to them, when even though stones and blocks were thrown at them, and they were even physically beaten, they were not harmed at all. He said that not only did they not need medical attention, they even came out with no scratch at all.
Yaakov, the brother of one of the survivors, told Keshet’s Morning News’ in an interview: “When I saw the videos I did not understand how I saw more than two people in the car. It became clear to me that the people who lynched them pulled them both out and passed them back. “They tried to do them, but the Palestinian police rescued them within minutes – and we want to thank them for rescuing them quickly. We had a private Hanukkah miracle and we have to thank the Creator of the world.”
He described, “When the IDF spokesman called and updated the family, we thought they were doing a Hanukkah prank on us. No one believed it was something that could happen to him, he is a responsible guy who knows what he wants from himself. We did not believe such a thing was happening. It is a Hanukkah miracle of our family, the Blessed One saved him from certain death, probably after what people went through there in previous lynches. “
