Around the world, we recently celebrated the International Day for Equal Rights for People with Disabilities, and on the occasion of this occasion, the Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club Foundation launched a unique activity aimed at promoting the integration of this population.
Last Wednesday, the ‘Maccabi Special’ project was launched, in collaboration with Special Olympics and Brothers of the Symbol, within the framework of which a special soccer team was established that combines the activities of fans from the Brothers of the Symbol organization alongside people with disabilities.
Maccabi Special activity is expected to take place throughout the coming season when the participants will hold a weekly training session and will also participate in tournaments and competitions against teams in a similar format.
This is the opportunity to mention that the Maccabi Special project started at the club already in the 2019/20 season. Now we are proud to return him to the center of the stage and dedicate an important place to him in the social work of the Maccabi Foundation.
