The Madrid Stock Exchange loses 0.76% at the end of Wednesday

The Ibex 35 has lost 0.76% at the close of Wednesday. The Madrid Stock Exchange ended the day with its selective down 71.7 points, to 9,322.9 integers.

The Spanish stock market closed in the red due to higher-than-expected inflation in Germany in February (the Spanish and French rebounded the day before), which encourages the rise in interest rates in the euro area.

The selective started with rises motivated by the rises in Asia (Hong Kong rose 4%) after the good economic data from China, but changed direction due to German inflation and indecision this afternoon on Wall Street.

Among the heavyweights of the Ibex 35, Iberdrola fell (-2.35%); BBVA (-2.01%); Banco Santander (-0.87%), and Inditex (-0.31%), while Repsol (+1.23%) and Telefónica (+1.14%) rose.
