The man who beat and kidnapped a 19-year-old girl in Kresna has been released on bond.

The case is from last week. Ivana Simova returned home from London to her grandmother’s house in Kresna on October 16. The same day at her home, her ex-boyfriend attacked her in front of her 76-year-old grandmother and her cousin, she says.

After the beating, the man forced her into his car and took her to a wooded area near the city.

“When he got me out of the car, the fight started with two extremely hard slaps that blackened me and I fell to the ground. And he started with very strong blows, with his fists, with the phone, with his hands… on my head. I tried to protect myself in some way and told him that my head hurt, to stop,” the girl told bTV.

Ivana also claims that before leaving the place, the man tried to hit her with his car. She also says that she felt powerless and expected her ex-boyfriend to kill her.

After seeing how the 19-year-old girl was forced into her ex-boyfriend’s car, her cousin started looking for her. But he doesn’t call the police.

“I thought he was going to kill her and just in those 15 minutes I prayed that she would be alive and well, that we would find her alive and well and that he would not kill her,” says Yoana Vangelova.

The beaten woman still manages to call her cousin for help. He found her in a very bad condition – with bumps, torn clothes and blood. They report to the police.

The District Prosecutor’s Office – Blagoevgrad said that the perpetrator was charged with kidnapping, for which a penalty of “imprisonment” of 3 to 10 years is provided.
