Delhi Police arrested a man who cut his live-in girlfriend into 35 pieces.
The man, Aftab Amin Poonawala, strangled his girlfriend Shraddha (both in the picture) after a fight between them on May 18. After cutting her body into 35 pieces, Aftab bought a refrigerator and kept it inside.
He left home at 2 pm every day for the next 18 days and dumped Shraddha’s body parts one by one in different parts of the city, police said.
26-year-old Shraddha was working in the call center of a multinational company in Mumbai. It was there that he met Aftab for the first time. Love blossomed between them. Shraddha’s parents did not accept it. After that, both left the house and went to Delhi, where they started living together in a house in Mehroli area.
In this case, Shraddha’s father Vikas Madan, who went to Delhi to see his daughter on the 8th of this month, found his daughter’s house locked.
Later she lodged a complaint at Mehroli police station that her daughter might have been abducted. Based on that, the police arrested Aftab last Saturday.
During the police interrogation, Aftab stated that Shraddha wanted to marry him and there were frequent fights between them.
After that, the Delhi Police, who filed a murder charge against Aftab, are searching for Shraddha’s body parts.
