The all-wheel drive BAZ-S36A11 was first introduced on April 10, 2023. The car weighing almost 36 tons has a load capacity of 22 tons and is powered by a YaMZ diesel engine with a capacity of 422 hp. It is possible to assemble BAZ trucks at the former Toyota plant, but not on a conveyor – it is a frame and heavy structure, says Sergey Burgazliev, an independent automotive industry consultant. According to him, these vehicles will be produced in St. Petersburg using the SKD method. Plans for the development of the production of electric vehicles E-Neva in 2026, he considers “quite realistic.”
