The match for the Russian Super Cup on football this year will be held in Kaliningrad on July 17, the press service of the Russian Premier League (RPL) reports. Zenit and Lokomotiv will play in the final.
The RPL added that “the venue will be finally approved after all the details have been agreed with the stadium.” The league also approved the regulations for the Super Cup tournament. According to him, in case of a draw in regulation time, the teams will immediately play a series of penalties.
The Russian Football Super Cup is a competition from the only match of the club that won the Russian Cup with the Russian champion of the previous football season. The participation of RPL teams in the match is mandatory.
