The mayor of Amiens challenges Madonna to obtain the loan of a painting

Brigitte Fouré posted a video on Facebook this Monday evening, asking the singer Madonna to lend a painting to the Picardy museum. The reason ? The painting in question, “Diane et Endymion”, by Jérôme-Martin Langlois, disappeared from the Picardy museum during the First World War and Madonna bought it at auction in 1989. The mayor of the city would like to recover it as part of of its candidacy to be the European Capital of Culture in 2028.
