Ulysses Villegas, A death threat has been made by a criminal organization that wants to roll back the municipality’s intervention Santa Luzmila Market.This would be the third time the mayor has faced threats this year, apart from being beaten on the head by a group of criminals who were allegedly extorting money from him.
The first two threats against Mayor Villegas were presented between the first quarter of this year, one of which occurred in the month of May, where the mayor was the victim of an attack by rioters who beat him, injuring his head. He indicates that that attack was rooted in the threats he received, since the criminal organization demanded that he stop the recovery of areas in the Chacra Cerro market.
Press releases from the Comas mayor’s office indicate that the action in these markets was about evicting street vendors in the area, most of whom were foreigners.
In this latest video where the criminal organization appears armed with firearms, the extortionists can be heard saying “the same thing you did in Chacra Cerro, we are not going to allow it in Santa Luzmila”, in reference to the market in question.
Criminal organization asks mayor to stop action
“Look, this is what you did in the market Cerro Farms We won’t let it in Santa Luzmila Market (…), you already know that we have four cats messing around here, wherever we catch you, you already know that your 8 bodyguards will not work for you. We are an organization of some damned people whose lives are useless to us. Right now, you know, wherever we catch you, we will break your face. Underworld,” concludes the message of the criminal organization that has not yet been identified.
In the video, it can be seen that the 6 thugs have firearms, most of them pistols and the subject giving the keynote address has the presence of a firearm. This criminal organization threatens to retaliate if an attempt is made to clear the Santa Luzmila market.
According to La República sources close to the management of the Comas municipality, new security measures are now being taken to protect Mayor Villegas, as the relevant complaints will be made on August 19th.
