At a special ceremony in the Pazardzhik Municipality building, Mayor Petar Kulenski welcomed and awarded sisters Gabriela and Stephanie Stoevi for their impressive performance at the Olympic Games in Paris.

The badminton players who reached the quarter-finals of the games were awarded cash prizes in the amount of BGN 1,000 each, plaques, certificates and special T-shirts with the logo of the municipality.

During the award ceremony, Mayor Kulenski expressed his pride in the achievements of the Stoevi sisters and emphasized that they are an example for young people in the city and the region.

“Your success is proof of high sportsmanship and tireless work. Pazardzhik is proud of you and of the fact that you represented Bulgaria and our city at the highest level at the Olympic Games,” said the mayor.

Sisters Stoevi, for their part, thanked the municipality and residents of Pazardzhik for their support, emphasizing the importance of this support for their presentation on the international stage.

The ceremony ended with a joint photo and a promise from the municipality for continued support to the young talents of Pazardzhik in their future sports endeavors.
