The mayor of Ruse, Pencho Milkov, met with the team of the State Puppet Theater, which a few days ago won two IKAR awards at the national theater awards ceremony for its show “Yasen and Omaya”.

“I have the honor to congratulate you on the successive awards that you have won with your talent, not only for you as a collective, but also for all of us – Russians. The award on behalf of the municipality of Ruse is a recognition of what you do for the cultural life of our hometown,” said Pencho Milkov.

As a sign of appreciation, the mayor awarded the director of the State Puppet Theater – Ruse Temenuga Haralanova with a plaque of the Municipality of Ruse.

The theatergoers assured that they will continue to invest enthusiasm and energy in creating performances interesting for the audience.
The Ruse production “Jasen and Omaya”, based on the fairy tale “Nerodena Moma”, received the audience award at the 50th anniversary edition of the IKAR Awards in the Ivan Vazov National Theater, and Nataliya Gocheva was awarded for scenography in the “Achievement in Puppetry” category.
